Consultation Arrangement Please feel free to drop me a mail or give me a ring if you think you need help with your dog. We wil discuss the problem over the phone. You might need to bring the dog to the vet for a full health check depending on the type of problem. This is to rule out any possible medical causes before embarking onto a behavioural programme. I will need a referal from your vet before i start consultation proper.
Duration The consultation will be about 2 hours. I will be explaining why the dog is performing the behaviours and how we will go about modifying its behaviour. The training method and procedures will be drafted and tailored to individual needs. Venue The venue will normally be in your home environment and preferably with the whole family together. I am then able to explain every aspects of the training to everyone and to answer any questions raised. Every training procedure will be black and white so that everyone adheres to it. The venue might extend to the field or park if those are the problem areas. Follow up A full written report will be posted to you to cover the points that were mentioned. You will then be able to start the behaviour modification programme. The speed to recovery will depend on the degree of the problem and the effort put into the training programme. I will normally give you a ring to check a week later how the training is progressing. Feel free to give me a ring or email to ask if you have any problem with the training programme or your dog's behaviour. A copy of the result from the consultation will also be forwared to your vet. Follow up visits can be arranged to troubleshoot your training techniques or for further training. Cost Many pet insurance companies will cover the cost of behaviour consultation if referred from your vet. Please check with your insurance company for details. The initial consultation cost will be £75. Follow-up visits will be charged at £35.
